We hope that you will be with us for our regular monthly PFLAG meeting on Wednesday, February 17, 2010. Our speaker this month will be Stephen Thomas, Treasurer of one of PFLAG's most important allied organizations, Stonewall Speakers. Stephen is a 40-year old gay man who resides in Hamden. He works as a Managing Director at Aon Corporation. He grew up, with two sisters and a brother, in a loving, supportive household in a community outside of Boston. One of his sisters is a lesbian. Stephen came out at the age of 23 during a very difficult period of his life. He has spoken for Stonewall Speakers for the last 6 years, in an effort to educate students in Connecticut. Last September, Stephen married his long-time partner. We hope you will be able to attend this meeting and to meet Stephen and hear his story. | |||
